You can search our sample database by filling in values in this form and then clicking on the Submit Search Query button. Click on any field name in the search criteria for more information about it.
All the samples which match every search criteria you entered will be displayed in the results (AND search logic, intersection).
If you leave a field blank, then it will not be included in the search criteria.
If you search by Sample ID, Relab File ID, Principal Investigator, or Planetary Origin then the results will contain only those samples that match exactly what you typed in the field.
When searching by Sample ID or Relab File ID, you may enter a comma-delimited list of IDs. The results will contain every sample which matches any entry on the list.
If you want to search for samples with specific particles sizes, you can do so by entering numeric values in either or both of the Min Size and Max Size fields.
If you search by Sample ID, you can use the wildcard '_' to represent exactly one
unknown character, or the wildcard '%' to represent zero or more unknown characters.
If you search by Sample Name, General Type, Type, Sub Type, Texture, Origin, or Text, then the results will contain only those samples which have in the respective field the word or words which you entered.
In those seach criteria, if you want to search for a substring within a word, you can use the wildcard character '*' to represent zero or more unknown characters.
To search for samples in a specific wavelength range, click the checkbox by Search In This Range to activate the wavelength search criteria.
The results will include only samples which have data such that the wavelength range of the data and the range of the search criteria is a non-zero intersection.
